Section titled “What is Platebreaker?”Platebreaker is an intelligent recipe search platform personalized to close your nutrient gaps, your tastes and preferences. You can discover recipes ranked by how well they fit your nutritional needs, plan meals, and track nutrient intake.
Core Features
Section titled “Core Features”Recipe Discovery: Search for recipes and see them ranked by how well they fill your current nutritional gaps. Rankings update automatically as you add meals to your plan.
Meal Planning: Add recipes to your planner for specific dates and meals. Set recurrence patterns (daily, weekly, fortnightly) for foods you eat regularly.
Nutrition Tracking: Monitor intake for up to 113 nutrients — 65 have default targets set automatically based on your profile, and 48 additional nutrients support custom targets. All nutrition data in recipe ingredients is fully traceable back to USDA FoodData Central.
Personalization: Nutrient targets are calculated using evidence-based formulas from nutrition authorities (NASEM, EFSA, NHMRC, NNR). Targets adjust based on your age, sex, weight, height, activity level, and pregnancy/breastfeeding status.
Customization: Adjust any nutrient target using absolute amounts, percentages of energy, or scaling by body weight. Adjust nutrient weights to emphasize or de-emphasize specific nutrients in search rankings (0 = off, 1 = default, higher/lower for emphasis).
